History comes to life in Thiruvananthapuram as another relic of the past undergoes a fabulous makeover, resurrecting the city’s glorious past. Amritha Heritage was once known as Essenden Bungalow. It was the home of the Portuguese citizen Eunice Gomez and her husband T. Shivaramasethu Pillai. It became a part of the Amritha Hotel in the 1950s. The five-room structure has been converted into a heritage hotel embellished with regal style and colonial opulence.

Constructed in the Dravidian style by a maharaja of Travancore in 1733, the temple is dedicated to Vishnu, who reclines on the sacred serpent, Anantha, which gives Thiruvanathapuram its name.
Kovalam beach is 16kms away from Thiruvananthapuram. and attracts both, the rich andfamous who come here travelling. As a result, the beaches are dotted with both luxury and budget resorts
